1.) Change the spacing between desktop icons for Windows 10/11 with the freeware DesktopOK!
Please start DesktopOK and select in Main-Menu Windows-Metric and adjust the icon spacing (distance :-)
Click the Button Restart Explorer. Sometimes: Bring the Desktop to Foreground, for example via Windows-Logo+ D and refresh the Windows 10 Desktop via [F5] Key. That is the best solution :-)
Then, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics, and double-click on each of the IconSpacing and IconVerticalSpacing respectively.
