First, a request: I love the ability to have files colored by extension. Can you add the ability to change the background color of the entire program?
Second, a bug: Q-Dir doesn't always show the creation of a new folder in the folder treeview. I've noticed this especially when I'm extracting a compressed file to a new folder: the folder is created and visible in the listview, but doesn't show up in the treeview, even after pressing F5. The only way I can get the new folder to show up in the treeview is by restarting Q-Dir.
Here's what I have:
Windows XP SP3
Internet Explorer 7
Thanks for your help!
Will repair in the next version.
It saved me hour of free time to restore icons manually.
Can you make option for DesktopOK runs with windows start (it is already done), make auto save of icons, keep shot history, and then just quit after making auto save. It will be very useful for people, who need everyday saving of icons positions, but restores them rarely.
We would like to distribute Q-Dir 3.49 in Computer Bild Italia
Our CD/DVD-Rom is a gift for our readers and it's not sold neither distributed without our magazine.
How about putting a drag and drop launch bar for favorite documents.
Clicking on the icon on the launch bar would open the document. You could get to your favorite item quicker. PowerDesk Pro does this and I use it all the time.
Can we have support for 7zip files.
I cannot use it as a default file explorer as i cannot make it default. I also find it a little slow because of i think 4 windows opened at a time, it takes time to open the tree so there is a need to may be do something to improve speed. Its color can also be toned down to match windows colors (or may be option to change colors).
It has saved the folder windows so that the next time
I run it, the same folders open. That's what I like. It was fine last night when I shutdown, but for some reason, it wouldn't work like that today. I was using v3.43 last night, but updated to v3.45 today when I realized that I had a problem. Any ideas? Thanks.
I had screen divided into 3 logical sections.
What happened was that the 2 files (out of 3) I was copying got deleted but the directory I wanted deleted remained. The file that was actually in process of copying could not be deleted because the system said it was in use so I only lost two files.
I like the option to save as desktop item with all my preferences,
When I copy or move large files from a directory in one window to a directory in an other window, at least the "source" window is "locked" and can not be used as long as the copy/move is running. Can't you start that copy/move process in the backgroud so that the window is free again?
Add file synchronization.
I am suggestion that you add file synchronization. If you opened two panels you could tell which files are not the same. This feature is found in the old version of 2xExplorer. It is the only feature I wish was in your program.
