Q-Dir

Hi developer

Q-dir is great software, exactly what I need!

I encountered one problem: I cannot open a document (e.g. a Word
document) from a web folder by double clicking on it.

Q-dir 3.5.1
Installed OS: WinXP, Servicepak 2
Installed Internet Explorer 6, sp2, default browser Firefox 3.0.6

ope you can fix this. It would gereatly improve usability for me!

Kind regards,

ANSWER :

to>web folder
Is this a FTP Folder or a Hyperlink to Web-File.

Tell me if you need an account for testing!

ANSWER :
OK GIVE ME PLEASE!

Make a new networkplace in Windows Explorer:
Try to open 'Test for Qdir.doc' from this webfolder from Qdir.

ANSWER :
For me it works! But slowly.
I have IE7 and XP SP2!

But I will test with Installed Internet Explorer 6 & sp2
Regards Nenad!

Tested @home (XP sp3, IE7) and it works OK. No slowlyness either.
The BSCW server probably is not slow.

Are you going to fix this issue in IE6? If so: when?
I do al lot of testing, so I prefer to adapt to the standards of my academy, wich unfortunally is IE6. That's why upgrading to IE7 is not my fist choice.

ANSWER :
I will test !
Please feel free and kick me again!

Thanks for your reply.
Of course, you can banish it, :)
As my project, I've just needed only one theme for as I mensioned.
I'm sure you do have that idea too.
After OK, please let me know. I can't wait to try it, :) :)

ANSWER :
Yes, it is possible.
But i must see ;)

Save view for each folder independently
Explorer saves view options for each folder but almost no substitute program seems to do it effectively. Would also be nice to have it replace / integrate explorer automatically for any time I click on a drive.

Q-Dir does not seem to remember it's previous position/view

Add a feature that allows user to double click on the empty space
Instead of pressing the "back" button, would it be possible to add a feature that allows user to double click on the empty space within a window frame to return to the previous page?

Allow the user to assign a keyboard shortcut to a favorite.
Optimize its memory usage. 3. The Favorites function should be made to only deal with the selected pane. 4. In the Favorites menu, the extension of a favorite shouldn't be shown.

The version number is in title bar
Put version number in the About Button please. Cannot tell if you have released new version from that which I have on my system now.

Customize the commands on the bottom of each window where the run,
I hope you can add a functionality to customize the commands on the bottom of each window where the run, delete, cut, copy and paste resides.

Explorer as a power user would design it.
Solid extension without niche enhancements.
