When the user presses the Search , F3, key to search for a file, Q-Dir does not accept the file name string until the Search window opens completely, which takes a long time.

Using Explorer (or My Computer), the user can start typing the search string immediately after pressing the Search, F3, key. The typed string will appear in the "All or part of the file name" field when the "Search by any or all of the criteria below" window.

Is this Vista x64 ?

Is there a way for the views in
It's a fantastic application, just wish it could display the live file/folder status, ie: When a file/folder gets renamed/deleted, file size increases, etc. just like Windows Explorer does.

There could be a key to make the "zoom window" stop following the cursor.
What is being shown inside the zoom window would still be updated when the mouse moves, only the window itself would be still.

files in "Virtual Files" show up in
Excellent work, but in VISTA Q-Dir cannot distinguish between files residing in the C:\Program Files directory and files residing in the C:\Users\Apps\Roaming\Virtual Files directory. If not for this problem I would love to use your program. Can this be fixed?

Single pane for all of us who have small monitor,
Right click on pane border(when in dual pane) to "minimize"(swap, hide it, make it minimal in size) second pane to the window border. I hope you understand, my english.

Selection in the right-click context menu
Am I missing how that, or some similar Feature, operates in Q-Dir, please? Perhaps you have a Toolbar-located "New Folder(s)" Button? If not, please consider including such a Feature in a forthcoming Update, ok?

It saved me hour of free time to restore icons manually.
Can you make option for DesktopOK runs with windows start (it is already done), make auto save of icons, keep shot history, and then just quit after making auto save. It will be very useful for people, who need everyday saving of icons positions, but restores them rarely.
