MS Windows 11, 10, ... etc. has a function with which you can regulate in the operating system that only a part of the computer's available processor cores is used.If you are a software developer or software tester, you can see how the program behaves on a computer that has to make do with less power. Very handy because without a second computer you can use this function to fix a possible CPU problem. Use the Windows System Configuration utility to open these settings! Content / solution / tip: 1.) ... reduce the number of processor cores on the Windows computer!

2.) What should be considered when reducing the number of processor cores?
Actually, you can't do anything wrong here, you should only remove the restriction on the number of processors after completing the tests as described under point 1, but at this point you can also limit the main memory to be used to see how the program works with less available work memory.(... see Image-2 Point 1 and 2)
