If the LCD has broken points, it is due to production errors. As long as there are not too many, the device is not considered defective.
There are exact guidelines on how many pixels may be defect on new devices. It is divided in error classes.
Pixel Error class-1: 0
Pixel Error class-2: 2-5 (error type 1-3)
Pixel Error class-3: 5-50 (error type 1-3)
Pixel Error class-4: 50-500 (error type 1-3)

As a rule, there are the following errors: "Constantly lit pixels, or subpixels" and "Constant black pixels". This is called Deadpixel, Dead-Pixel, or Stuckpixel if the pixel is always lit (paralyzed).
