Windows 8.1 / 10 all users desktop location to customize and edit!


The solution to find all users desktop path location for customize and add shortcuts and items for all users!




Without full admin privileges and enabled security settings is the folder C:\ProgramData\Desktop in Windows 8.1/8 not accessible! (... see Image-1 Arrow-1)! 

For this problem, you need a file and folder manager that can be started in admin mode and can enable the Secure Privileges (security settings)! For this case in Windows 8.1, 10 and 8 is the File Manager Q-Dir ideal!

Please download and install of Q-Dir and start Q-Dir in administrative mode!
See: ... Explorer as administrator in Win 8.1 and 8!

And now change in Q-Dir the security settings via the main menu, Extras, System!  (... see Image-2 Arrow-1)

And open the all user desktop directory path C:\ProgramData\Desktop in Windows 8 or 8.1 (... see Image-3 Arrow-1)! 

Now you can remove and ad items or desktop shortcuts for all users on your Windows 8.1! (... see Image-3 Arrow-2)
