Windows Explorer for Windows 10 and 11 does a good job. It's certainly an improvement over Windows Explorer 10 years ago. But there are many more features that make Q-Dir really great.
Luckily, Q-Dir, which is constantly being developed, has Windows Explorer alternatives. Some features and capabilities are major enhancements, but there are a number of identical features in the Alternate File Manager that make it easier not only in Windows 10 or new Windows 11.
Windows Explorer's built-in file manager had many improvements over many years. It now has thumbnails, multiple folder views, and many other extras. However, it lacks basic features, such as tabbed windows and a two-pane view. If you occasionally feel the need for a file manager with a little more, Q-Dir could be the right one.
In the many windows of Q-Dir the owners of large high-resolution displays of many laptops and desktops are optimally satisfied. You could literally put it on an old USB flash drive if you still have one lying around.
