Can it be that Dir-Print-OK is slower from V3 on Windows 10/11?
No, it can not be that DirPrintOK has slowed down since version 3.0, it is completely trimmed to speed!
Simply test in fast filter mode!
In this mode DirPrintOK works with the old FindFile and not with the slow MS-Schell (IShellFolder, IShellItem).
However, all column file details are read out for convenient printing. As in the tree-list mode, only that here still can be grouped, alternatively file extension, modification time, size, or folder.
User request! The search setup takes a long time at 3-4 levels. Search on NAS drive with approx. 6TB data. The previous version was much faster! Maybe you can improve something here.
Answer In filter mode or?
User answer! I have to revise my request for the long search. I had the old and the new version installed in parallel to be able to compare. Obviously, both programs have hindered each other. After uninstalling both software variants and reinstalling the new release, I repeated the same test again. Now it turned out that the new version works much faster. So all in all, it was my mistake that led to the erroneous assumption. You have done everything right and can close the process.
Answer Thanks for the info, I was surprised, it is just with SSD up to 100 times faster and generally up to a factor of 10x. The export only needs to be optimized.
