What is Unicode / I need that?
You need Unicode eg. Japanese, Korean ..., Chinese ... Characters.
This information saying everything without much BLAAABLAA:
ANSI = 1 Byte = 8 Bit = maximum 256 chars
UNICODE = 2 Byte = 16 Bit = maximum 65536 chars
Unicode is a 16-bit character encoding, providing enough encodings for all
languages. All ASCII characters are included in Unicode as widened characters.
Please use Unicode Programs, from Windows XP/2000 to Windows 10/2016 and higher.
Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000/ XP/ VISTA ... provide full support for Unicode.
The Unicode standard is not supported on Windows 95, 98, or ME (Millennium Edition) .
