Who often want to customize Windows 8.1, 8 or 10 Sound Theme, the solution is: create direct access from the desktop via shortcut to the Sound Theme window tab.
1.) Direct link to the Windows-8 Sound Theme Tab!
2.) Customize the icon for the sound desktop shortcut Windows-8!
3.) Pin to Win-8 Start (menu) for direct access to Windows-8 sounds.

First you press the keyboard shortcut [Windows Logo] + [D] to see the Windows desktop. Select a free location on the desktop with the right mouse button and click "New", "shortcut" ( ... see Image 1 Arrow-1 ), then simply use the command: control.exe /name Microsoft.Sound /page sounds ( ... see Image 1 Arrow-2), then click "Next" button ( ... see Image 1 Arrow-3). For the shortcut name use for example "Sound Theme".

To change the icon for the desktop shortcut sound theme, click the Sound-Theme icon on the desktop (right-click) and select "Properties" ( ... see Image 2 Arrow-1), click "Shortcut" tab ( ... see Image 2 Arrow-2) and the button "Change Icon". ( ... see Image 2 Arrow-3). The correct icon is located in the "C:\Windows\System32\mmsys.cpl". Enter this path in the text box ( ... see Image 2 Arrow-4) and select the first icon. And again use a mouse right-click on the icon Sond-Theme on Win-8 desktop and easily select the Option:

A sound theme is a set of sounds applied to events in windows and programs. You can select an existing scheme or save one you have modified.
