On Windows 8.1 or 10, open files with desktop programs and not with APPs!


The solution is simple to open Windows 8.1 or 10 files with desktop programs and not with Metro APPs!



Prerequisite is of course that the correct program is installed, for the appropriate file type or file extension.

The file associations in Windows 8.1 and 8, I have described here:

However, you can uninstall all Metro apps with in one fell swoop and then optionally delete from the hard drive also, for example!
