Difference program and application?

The difference between a program and an application is that the application can contain a program!

Application are also programs designed for end users. However, programs are not apps, again all apps or applications are programs. Programs are designed to assist computers or help them perform specific tasks for the user's benefit, programs usually require an installer!

Applications can also have multiple programs interacting with each other, or work as one large application!
