Where is the windows passwords folder?

Most versions of Windows have various password protections for files, accounts, folders, ..., but there is no folder in which the passwords are stored!

There are options to save or recover passwords, here are three options that come very close to the question, and maybe that's what they meant!

Option-1 :

►► Backup and restore saved usernames and passwords

If usernames, passwords, server credentials, FTP, drives, ... are lost, damaged or destroyed, you can use this backup to restore them. You can also use this backup to transfer passwords or user names to other computers under all Microsoft Windows operating systems

Option 2:

►►  The Credentials Manager in Windows 11, 10, ...

Credential Manager can be used to store credentials such as  usernames and passwords  that can be used to log in to websites and other computers on a network can be easily used on older versions of Microsoft's Windows operating systems, whether the credentials are on a Windows Desktop PC, Tablet, Surface Pro/Go, or even a server operating system!

Option 3:

►►  Windows 10 and 11: Deny, set up and remove folder access

Even if you're not a  network administrator, or if you work for a security organization and share your PC with other people, you know that accessing folders that contain important documents that are nobody's business can be very harmful. Then you can quickly restrict folder access via folder security in Windows 10, here is a simple solution that is often used by administrators on Windows Server, as well as  controlled access to folders in Windows 10
