What is a binary number?
The binary numbers come from the binary system and are therefore also called binary number, this can either be 0 (ZERO) or 1 (one)!
1.) The binary numbers / binary system!
In computer science one speaks of a bit and bytes
00001010 stands for A abbreviated 1010 = A
00001011 stands for B abbreviated 1010 = B
00001100 stands for C abbreviated 1010 = C
00001101 stands for D abbreviated 1010 = D
If you still know how the slide rule in mathematics, you can use this all numbers, letters, ... encode with simple ones and zeros, it is only a question of the interpreter behind them and what standard you agree on, or coding!
The above-described A, B, C is the so-called ASCII
in the number one, used as a simple example, the integers
000000 = 0
000001 = 1
000010 = 2
000011 = 3
000100 = 4
000101 = 5
To understand it 1 + 4 = 5
Just let the colors work
000001 + 000100 = 000101
2 + 3 is also 5 here the second bit is shifted one place higher because it can only be one or zero
A binary number consists of only 0 (ZERO) or 1 (one) the rest is then a matter of interpretation or rather a standard!
2.) Convert text to binary! !
A B C Test
3.) ... Why do computers use binary files?
Binary is still the primary language for computers for the following reasons. It's a simple and elegant design. Binary's 0 and 1 method quickly detects whether an electrical signal is off or on. The positive and negative poles of magnetic media are quickly translated into binary. Binary is the most efficient way to control logic circuits.
