Can I continue to use Windows 10 or do I have to switch to 11?
You don't need to upgrade to MS Windows 11, Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 until October 14, 2025.
The automatic update and support will continue to be provided by Microsoft until this point in time, from then on you have to switch to Windows 11 or to another operating system. Or continue to use Windows 10 without support. Switching to Windows 11 is quite easy, the only thing that is very different is the Windows 11 taskbar, this could lead to discomfort in Windows 11!
The window corners are rounded, which is very pleasant, and Windows 11 has a new, simplified start menu. The live tiles are gone, I didn't like them anyway. These are replaced by a list of app icons, as well as the current files.
Will Windows 10 stop working when Windows 11 starts?
You won't have any problems sticking to Windows 10 until October 14, 2025. Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 through this date and you can continue to work safely on your PC. But after October 14, 2025, support for Windows 10 will be discontinued and even at risk. This is because Microsoft will no longer release any new security updates for Windows 10 as of this date. If someone discovers a new vulnerability in Windows 10 after this date, Microsoft will not release a Windows 10 update to fix it.
When Windows 11 starts, you can continue to use Windows 10 as normal. It doesn't automatically become unusable, but it will exist in the shadow of Windows 11!
