How can I see if I have x64 Edition or Windows x32/x86 on Windows 8/8.1?

In Windows 8 / 8.1 you can quite easily see if you have x64 or x32/x86 Edition.

To see this, open the Control Panel. 
System x64 x32/x86 on Windows 8
System x64 x32/x86 on Windows 8

In the "Control Panel" please click Symbol(Icon) labeled Control Panel System "System"
Info! If you do not see "System" ... click here

The key combination [Win Logo] + [X] is the fastest way
to open "System"  (... see Image Arrow-1)

In Windows 8 system (... see Image-2 Arrow-1)
That's it.

In Windows 8 system, you can not only see the Windows OS version on the computer, but also the performance index rating.

You can view a summary of important info about your computer by opening System in Control Panel. You can see basic hardware info, such as your computer's name, and you can also change important system settings. 

View basic info about your computer
 You can find a summary view of basic details about your computer, including:
  1. Windows edition.
    Lists info about the Windows operating system running on your computer.
  2. System.
    Displays your computer's Windows Experience Index base score, which is a number that describes the overall capability of your computer. Your computer's processor type, installed memory (RAM), system type, and pen and touch capabilities are also listed. Windows Experience Index isn't available for Windows RT.
  3. Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings.
    Displays your computer's name and domain info. You can change this info and add user accounts by tapping or clicking Change settings. Administrator permission required You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.
  4. Windows activation.
    Shows whether your copy of Windows is genuine, which helps prevent software piracy.
