Since many of the new Microsoft Windows applications are developed with the .NET Framework, it is necessary to install the .NET Framework on the PC. Microsoft is making the .NET Framework installer available to everyone as a free download.
Windows NET Framework 4.0 Setup
Windows 8 and higher version 4.xx of the .NET Framework is also installed. However, if the user upgrades from Windows 7 to Windows 8, the .NET Framework 3.5 is completely disabled. Most of the existing software requires version 3.5 of the .NET Framework to be installed in order to run. When you try to install an application that requires the .NET Framework 3.5 on this latest Windows, it will request a connection to the internet to download the necessary installation files.
Online installation means that you first need to download a small installer and the installer will automatically connect to Microsoft servers, download the required components, and complete the installation. That is not the case here!
