What is a screen frequency?


What is a screen frequency is a legitimate question, but there are different types!




Alternatively referred to as frame rate, horizontal sampling rate, vertical frequency, or frequency.

The update rate is a CRT / TFT / LED / LCD monitor, the measurement is in Hz, which indicates how often a monitor image is refreshed per second.

For example:
A monitor with a refresh rate of 60 Hz means that the screen is redrawn 60 times per second. (A typical specialist screens worth)
 
 

Does the screen frequency need to be changed?


Older computer screens may require changing the refresh rate of a monitor to avoid flickering or other distorted images.

Below are the steps to change the screen refresh rate in Microsoft Windows.

1. Open the Control Panel .
2. Open Display,  Icon, or Properties.
3. Click the Settings tab on the display .
5. Click the Advanced button .
5. Click the Monitor tab.
6. In this window you can increase or decrease the refresh rate of the computer screen.
