The system tray icon of the pen menu in Windows 11!


If you have a pen and use it for input, you can show or hide the system tray icon of the pen menu under Windows 11!

1.) Activating the Windows 11 pen symbol in the system tray!

1. Open the Windows 11 taskbar settings ( Windows + i )

2. Personalization  ► Taskbar (or right-click directly on the taskbar)

3. And activate the new on-screen keyboard in the taskbar

2.) Why doesn't the Windows 11 pen symbol appears in my taskbar?

You can only use the pen menu if you have connected a touchscreen PC to your Windows 11 PC and have a pen. If you don't see the pen menu icon in your system tray, follow the steps above!

If you tap on the pen menu icon in your system tray, a small pop-up pen menu will open with which you can start Microsoft Whiteboard, pen settings and pen help, tips app, ...

If you activate your pen, for example switch it on, you will immediately see a small pen icon in the Windows 11 taskbar at the lower right corner of your desktop next to the clock.
