The Windows 10 update can ever make a standard printer no longer recognizable, but that's no problem, here is the solution!
First, please check if the printer cable is properly plugged in. If necessary, replace the USB port. This may also have a loose connection. If the printer is plugged into the Fritz box via WLAN, for example, restart it, please restart the Windows 10 printer. Also, take everything for five minutes from the Power Network (electricity).
If no hardware problem apparent!
On many Windows 10 PCs, it sometimes happens that during the autoupdate the old driver is considered incompatible, or does not work anymore due to system file corruption . It may also be that in Windows 10 the signature of the default printer driver is not valid.
With a printer driver installation software, we successfully solved the problem and the default printer is back.
